Things I'm loving today

The new Foo Fighters song, "DOA"
My RWA chapter. I've never belonged to one before, and CNYRW rocks.
Libba Bray's Rebel Angels. The stakes are higher, the London-at-Christmastime detail are atmospheric, and the realms are scarier.
Basketball leagues for kids. Went to Ben's second game this morning (my first, since I missed last weekend due to my Tampa trip) and it was awesome! The kids really hustle, and Ben scored a basket. Cool.
The "mellow and slightly melancholy" CD I made last week-ish. Starts off with Stevie Nicks's "Sleeping Angel" which takes me right back to Fast Times at Ridgmont High, but is still a gorgeous, mournful song. I miss Stevie.
Also? It's Saturday. Which doesn't suck.

Date: 2005-12-11 09:47 pm (UTC)I'm worried about Miss McCleethy, which is where my mind went when you said "predictable" and I've been hoping for a twist, so I'll take your word that there will be joy. Loving it so completely anyway -- Libba really does the teenage angst thing beautifully.
Of course, now I have to figure out what I have lying around to read on the train instead...
