Your new(ish?) pitcher ... damn, I have to look up how to spell his name -- Lincecum? He looks like he's 15! Good god, so young.  And really, really good.

I'm full of love for the Mets tonight (despite last night's near disaster). They're all growing BEARDS, for one thing (except for Wright, and he doesn't need one, the adorable preciousssss), and it's clearly ALL FOR ME.

And Pelfrey! Giant, lanky, scrumptious Pelfrey is throwing hard! And well! Go, Mikey!

Plus? Jerry Manuel looks like he could be Morgan Freeman's cousin, and he's doing a really good job so far. Level-headed, firm, patient. Good man. (Although I'm sort of sad I don't miss Willie more.)

Oh, baseball. You make hot summer nights so much better.

That's pretty much it. I can't take the tension.

Also? I want to eat David Wright for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
