I approve!
Apr. 15th, 2009 08:38 pmLiz Claiborne Seamless Underwire for $16.98? Most comfortable bra I've ever worn (if not exactly the sexiest, but hey, it's an everyday bra) and at a price I like very much.
Tiny Butterfinger Easter eggs? So very awesome.
The Umbrella Academy, by Gerard Way, art by Gabriel Ba. I'm not really a comics girl, at least as a reader. I adore the larger than life, so often angsty characters, the mythology, the stories, the metaphors, but they generally only work for me on film. I had to try Umbrella Academy, though, as a huge My Chemical Romance/Gerard Way fan, and it rocked like a very rocking thing. The art alone is gorgeous, but the story is this quirky combination of snark, pathos, pop culture, and action. Love. Word is, they're looking at screenwriters for a movie adaptation, and right now the next two issues of the second storyline are out in stores.
Tree Tavern frozen pizza. Oh my god, it's like my childhood on a plate. This is available only in the NJ/PA area (possibly NY), and for a long time was completely unavailable, which was completely unacceptable. But it's back! If you grew up in Jersey, you've probably had one, and if you don't agree that they're the most perfect frozen pizza in the history of ever ... please don't tell me, because you make the baby Jesus cry with talk like that. My lovely husband found them in a ShopRite near my parents' house over the holiday weekend, and I nearly expired of sheer glee.
