Apparently Winnie the Mutant Wonder Cat has told her friends about us, because the pretty boy below has moved in. Literally.



He's still young, I think, although he's been spayed. Which means he belongs to someone, or did at some point. But he won't. leave. (Not that I mind. He's an absolute love -- affectionate, as docile as a Rag Doll, a big talker, and a winder-between-legs in the extreme.) We should probably post fliers or something, but I've looked around and haven't seen any for a missing cat, so.

I've decided to call him Twitch.

He's the mellowest, most affectionate cat I've ever known. Even when he's sleeping, you can wave his tail around, stroke his feet -- nothing. Maybe opens an eye to acknowledge you, but that's it. And he follows us around the house!

There are doglike cats out there. MK is one of them. For those of us mostly not-dog-people, they sucker us in with their feline appearance. And then we're in love with this creature and we are suddenly cattish-dog people. And for mostly dog people who run into these feline twisters? Again, helpless suckers.

Sometimes for people? The best dogs are actually cats.

I wanna snuzzle him. And tickle his feets and nose.

I don't know if he's doglike, although he certainly is more like *our* dog used to be, when she followed us around and begged for attention. But he is so much more lovable than our former cat (Puck, RIP, after 14 years). He was such a stereotypical cat, very aloof, only wanted attention on his terms, very bitey when he was feeling his oats. This guy is just a puddle of gooey love.
