Apr. 3rd, 2005 09:03 pmI just spotted roommate Kathy from BtVS "Living Conditions" in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part on Desperate Housewives. And Adam (George Herschberg? Herschenberg? too lazy to check) is in a new car commercial.
Also? Arrested Development made me choke laughing. As did The Simpsons. "Fly, Segway, fly!" and "I think the dog is up to something." Heh.
I scored as the vampire novel on the book quiz making the rounds, and was too lazy to paste my results. Strange. I don't think these tests work for me.
DST kicked my ass today. I spent yesterday driving almost two hours each way, in the rain, to a bridal shower for a good friend. Lovely food, good to see old friends, but watching a bride open gifts deserves a special ring of hell. Another piece of crystal? Be still my heart. A crockpot? I'm, uh, swooning. Yawn. And then today it was my turn to get up with the baby, which was 7 a.m. non-DST, and far too early for a Sunday, and then I had to drive other friends to the airport.
It's still gray and chilly here, and the river is seriously flooding. We're not in any danger where we live, but everyone down on River Road -- all the folks who just got hit so hard in September -- are getting it again, and it's supposed to be worse this time, the most serious flooding since 1996. The river's not expected to crest fully until sometime early tomorrow morning, too, and it's already covering River Road. Most of the residents down there have been evacuated already. So freaking sad. I always think I'd love that view of the Delaware, too, until this happens. I have a bunch of kids' clothes to donate, and I'll contribute to the Red Cross effort I'm sure will be going on later this week -- in September they needed garbage bags, bleach, papertowels, sponges, and bottled water.
