A fannish post
I said I was going to do this months ago, but let's just pretend that I'm doing it now to coincide with the DVD release, shall we? So, some thoughts on Sin City, and Frank Miller's view of gender roles.
I loved this movie, first of all, and I'm planning on picking up the DVD as soon as I can. That said, not being a comics reader, the incredibly sexualized world here fascinated me, as did the definite lines Miller has drawn between male and female roles. These are just a few notes, and I'll cut tag them for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
( Sin City )
I can't wait to watch it again, actually. These are only initial reactions based on one viewing, and several months removed.
